signed, titled and dated on underside of box.
Height of base 5 3/4 x width 15 1/2 x depth 15 3/4 inches.
Height of largest figure 10 inches.

Armstrong (b. 1945) a Lexington, Kentucky artist is best known for his elaborate automata. This tableau- an early piece- was purchased directly from him at the Lawrenceburg Antique Show shortly after its construction.
