Cocteau, Jean (French, 1889-1963), Orphée et Eurydice, c.1959, partially glazed white ceramic plate, signed on front, numbered 16/25 and marked "Edition originale de Jean Cocteau /Atelier Madeline-Jolly" on the underside, diameter 12.25 inches. Guedras, Jean Cocteau Ceramiques, no. 54. Provenance: from the collection of the Philadelphia based art and book dealer Michael Kam.
Condition
Good condition with light discoloration along the rim that appears to be inherent; no chips, cracks or repairs.
