[Indigenous Australian Art] Puruntatameri, Stanislaus (Indigenous Australian 1906 - 1987), Rock Wallaby, circa 1958, natural ochre pigment on carved ironwood, 11 x 15 x 5 inches, Provenance: Acquired from the artist in 1958; Dorothy Bennett; Caz Gallery, Sydney Australia, circa 1990, The Estate of James Winokur, Pittsburgh, Pa. The artist was one of the greatest painters of the Tiwi Tribe on Bathurst Island.
Condition
