"A red ground confection Buddha thangka, framed gold painting of Buddha's Shakyamuni, painted on the cottons called Muslin cotton; Nepal painted by Newar artist Bachcha Kriya in 1972 in Kathmandu Valley. This is 22 ct pure cold gold, only Nepalese artis can work with pure cold gold painted. It is believed a Painting of many Buddhas is meant to remove the sin and bad Karma from us. Length: 43"" Height: 46""Remark: A similar piece was sold on Invaluable (I.M. Chait auction) for $25,00 several years ago.Provenance: Dharma Art Gallery since 1982."
