Condition Notes: The lion is a symbol of strength and power, but this lion in the cuff links appears to be a hybrid which transforms from foliate scrolls in a way that recalls Renaissance grotteschi, or images of strange, mysterious, magnificent, and fantastic beasts that one finds in Italian art of the Mannerist period. In this way, these cuff links draw inspiration from Italian Renaissance art. Unmarked, metal tests 18k. Accompanied by a fitted box signed Sandra Cronan Ltd, London.
