A SÈVRES STYLE ORMOLU MOUNTED AND HAND PAINTED PORCELAIN LIDDED URN, SIGNED, LATE 19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY, with an artichoke form finial surmounting the bell style lid, on a flat beaded rim above a bronze collar cast in relief with oval marguerites partitioned by long exotic leaves and acanthus, over a fluted neck on a bulbous body with sides centering  a painted scene of Psyche wearing a floral diadem and long robes playing her pipe while being directed by Cupid seated opposite amidst sheets of musical scores and a lyre and tambourine, signed lower right "G. Poitevin," flanked by gilt bronze winged maiden's bust handles tapering to the base of gilt line scalloped ovules alternating bellflower stems, raised on a conforming socle with laurel leaf gilt trim above fluted sides and set within a berried laurel wreath modeled base on an ormolu octagonal plinth, verso the lid spurious overglaze blue intertwined Ls enclosing "BB" over "S" and gilt "FRANCE."
