A PAIR OF LATE REGENCY GILT APPLE GREEN AND PORTRAIT PAINTED PORCELAIN CACHE-POTS, CIRCA 1820s, each of square form and a splayed rim pierced with continuous spade form apertures, above a front nicely painted with sweet smiling girls and flanked by sides of scrolling floral stems centering oval leafy reserves enclosing a resting dove amidst foliate branches, framed by acanthus borders over a line incised base and incorporating winged swan form modeled feet, verso remnants of red overglaze inscription. Good condition with a few tiny re-gilt nicks, one chip on one swan support on each cache-pot, worn gilding in expected areas, touchups, general light wear, and some surface buildup in crevices throughout.
