Chinese Qing Dynasty QianLong Famille Rose Mille Fleur Porcelain Double Gourd Bottle Vase. The porcelain potted in a shape of double gourd resemblance, with two bulbous bellies conjoined together, bulbous lower section finishing into a slender bottleneck at the top, suspending a cylindrical neck, raised on short ring foot base and slighty concave. All in mille fleur design color, meaning the thousand flowers design first appears in the late Yongzheng period becoming extremely popular in the Qianlong and was carried on throughout the subsequent Jiaqing and DaoGuang periods, usually on a gilt ground. The dense millefleurs design features naturalistic blossoming peonies, chrysanthemums, hibiscus, morning glories, roses, lotus flowers, daisies, lilies and pinks amidst an abundance of foliage, the mouth rims with gilt bands, the bases and interiors often turquoise-enamelled on older pieces. The Under base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed red script characters reign mark. Made in The Years QianLong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty
