With steep flaring sides, the exterior delicately painted a traveling robed scholar riding a horse toward a wooden bridge in a landscape setting, poetic inscription in the regular script and two underglaze red seals to the opposite side, the cover similarly decorated and with the underglaze copper-red Daoguang seal mark repeated in the base of the bowl and inside the circular handle of the cover. {H 3 1/2 x D 4 3/8 inches (8.8 x 11.1 cm)}.
