A gorgeous brown and clear glass ashtray by V. Nason & C. The dark brown glass is encased in an angular block of light brown glass utilizing the renowned Italian Sommerso technique in the style of Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d'Arte and Alessandro Mandruzzato. Vincenzo Nason founded his glassworks in Murano in the 1930s and V. Nason & C. remained in operation until the early 2000s.
In good vintage condition with original label and very light shelf ware. Fits great in a mid century modern, Art Deco, or contemporary inspired home. And for non-smokers, it looks great as a decorative piece or makes a perfect vide poche, jewelry, or business card dish.
