Description

Description: This car is an unusual and well built child's care based on the Clement Bayard Grand Prix Car. This model was hand built by "R. Downing"

The car was for sale at Christie's Auction in London in the 1990's and was listed with a $26k reserve, and was ultimately sold to the owner of "Fine Art Models" for $12k + Shipping ($1,800). It was traded to the cars current owner for $14k in Brass Model Trains in 2002. The car was well maintained and driven until 2014 when it was garaged. We have the latest service record from 2013.

The child's car is powered by a water cooled Coventry Victor 280CC Petrol engine with a magneto ignition, plate clutch, chain drive to a 3 speed gear box with reverse and chain drive to rear axle with differential.

Condition: The car is in beautiful condition for it's age, and appears complete. The body show some bubbling under the paint on fenders, but otherwise is very good.

The engine WAS JUST SERVICED! and is now running & Driving perfectly! The flat tire was also repaired!!
