French, 19th century. Bronze dore and colorless glass entrance hall lantern in the Louis XV taste, having a smoke bell, arched foliate patterned panels, single door, and four-light electrified candle fixture to the interior. Unmarked. Provenance: Purportedly from a London townhouse designed by the international interior designer Valerian Rybar. Approx. of the fixture, h. 37", dia. 19".
Condition
Chips around hole of smoke bell; glass panels not examined out of frames; the glass believed to be original; frame is structurally sound.
