Dufaux & Co. The company name Motosacoche is derived from the bicycle engine developed in 1900, "une moto sacoche" or "engine in a pocket".

Die Firma wurde 1899 von den Brüdern Henri und Armand Dufaux unter dem Namen Société en commandite H. & A.
