Description
(Disney, 1947) An exceedingly rare Stromboli figure from Pinocchio, produced by renowned Italian ceramicists, Zaccagnini. The Italian company designed ceramic goods for Disney from 1938-58, and this gorgeously detailed, dramatically expressive Stromboli ranks in the top tier of their creations. The soles of the feet retain the Zaccagnini maker's mark, series designation "W80," an Italian language Walt Disney label, origin statement, and a Zaccagnini signature. Measuring 10.5"x8" and 7" deep, the figure is in very good condition with a .25" surface flake on the shoulder, tiny chips on the leg, and some tiny paint flakes on the bottom edge of the feet. Paint touch-up has been applied to the top of Stromboli's hair and a chip on the tip of the mustache, rendering the flaws almost invisible.
