(Fox, 2004) A framed pair of The Simpsons limited edition hand-painted cels from the personal collection of the voice of Bart, Nancy Cartwright. Celebrating the incredible longevity of The Simpsons, the piece consists of two cels, one depicting America's favorite TV family as they appeared in 30 second shorts on the Tracey Ullman show in 1987 and the other, the Simpsons family in a much more refined, contemporary animation style. The piece is a parody of The Beatles' famous career retrospective "red" and "blue" albums, the covers of which feature images of the band standing together on the same balcony captured years apart. It retains a Fox seal at lower left and is accompanied by a Fox COA adhered to the back of the frame. The cels are displayed over printed backgrounds. Measuring 8.25"x15" visible through a 22"x14" black wood frame, the cels are in fine condition with minimal wear.
