LIMITED EDITION of 200 copies.
The first edition of the first publication of its kind on the subject. A seminal work catalyzing growth in collecting and connoisseurship of classical Chinese furniture representative of the a collaborative intellectual life in China during the early twentieth century: the essay printed on Japanese vellum by members of the Lazarist order and Catholic University Press, with photographs produced at Hartong's photo shop, and scrupulously detailed line drawings by executed Ecke and Yang Yao.
