Description
An old print with dual photographs from the Fitchburg Railroad. It features the Boston dock facilities used by "The Hoosac Tunnel Route". The seam between the two photographs is obvious. The visible portion of the print measures about 27" by 16". The frame extends beyond that size. No glass, so easier to ship. The wooden frame needs some tightening. 2 original slats on the back (should be removed longer term to avoid staining).
A really nice example of 1800's advertising. It includes piers 3-7 in Boston and has the old grain elevator. It also mentions the shipping lines used at each pier. The photographs are faded but still with a little cleanup, stain on the frame and glass, this could look a lot better.
