TBS Does not guarantee authenticity of stamps labels and or piece, edition to lower right reads ‘52/250’, subject two individuals sharing a hug under a heart, measures 8 3/4 inches x 11 3/4 inches, window measures 7 3/4 x 10 5/8 inches, black wooden frame, minor surface wear to frame, professionally framed and triple matted in beige and black, not examined out of frame. Keith Haring moved to New York City in 1978 and began using the city as his canvas, making chalk drawings in subway stations. His art was eventually seen everywhere from public murals and nightclubs to galleries and museums around the world. He was also known for his activism in promoting AIDS awareness. He died of AIDS-related complications on February 16, 1990, at age 31.
