Lacks frontis portrait, otherwise complete with collation matching ESTC R6196 (numerous errors in pagination; for detailed collation see ESTC.) Bound in period full calf. ************* FIRST EDITION. With the engraved armorial bookplate of Edward Lord Suffield [Edward Harbord, 3rd Baron Suffield, 1781-1835] to front pastedown. Harbord was a radical British politician, prison reformer, and anti-slavery advocate. Here offered from the collection of Scott Murphy.
Condition
Front board detached, with some light scuffing and wear. Contents with occasional spotting and foxing, a few small/minor chips or holes (in one instance removing a couple of letters), overall Good.
