Description
(Britain, 1764-1831) As Clarenceux King of Arms. Original watercolor and ink arms document with seals and wax impressions. Masterful watercolor arms crest for the Atkinson family allowing Robert Anthony Purvis and his wife Anne to take the surname Atkinson. The brilliantly executed piece has the Atkinson arms at upper lift with royal arms at right. The piece also includes letters on veros framed. The letters include an original bill to Robert from Nayler himself along with a letter by King George IV signed boldly at top of the letter and bearing the king's royal seal. The document has been masterfully executed by Nayler and very handsomely framed. Sold from the collection of a Greenville gentleman collector. W20 1/2" H35" (without mat and frame)
