Navajo Native American Indian Artist Signed Julie Loley Kachina Doll. This religious ceremonial doll features a stylistic representation of an ancestral spirit with religious meanings. Typically carved from cottonwood, these heavily ornamented wooden dolls are traditionally made by men and presented to girls. Since each is created with delicate craftsmanship and unique embellishments, each is an OOAK ( One of a Kind ) work of art. Good condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. Measures 14 1/2 in. x 7 1/4 in. Signed on the underside as shown in the picture and titled Fancy Dancer with census number 402,706. Also carries a paper hang tag on one leg.
