Footnotes:
The motto on the case back 'Esse quam videri' translates as 'To be, rather than appear to be'. The inscription on the cuvette relates to the Sturgis family of Clipston, Northamptonshire and Russell Sturgis the 3rd of Boston, America.

Movement: Runs when wound
Dial: A few light marks, circular mark on the 'Frodsham', finger print on the dial above the subsidiary seconds
Hands: Subsidiary hand is loose, minor losses to the blueing on the minute hand
Glass: Some light scratches, overall good
Case: Light scratches throughout. The hinge has snapped to the case back but the back does fit securely on
