GERMAN PORCELAIN ORCHESTRAL FIGURES, LOT OF EIGHT, each having polychrome hand-painted decorations with gilt accents and each figure wearing Baroque-style clothing with Dresden lace, comprising a piano and a pianist, a music stand, two violinists, a sitting cellist, a flautist, and a sitting violist. Marks include blue-printed "FGR / 1762" with crown to top and "MADE IN GERMANY". Aelteste Volkstedt Porzellanmanufatur, Rudolstadt, Thuringia, Germany. First half 20th century. 2 5/8" HOA.

Most in excellent condition except three lacking bows, one lacking flute, and a few with minute losses to lace; flautist with loss to fingers on one hand; one violinist with minor loss to one finger.
