Description
Two Orders of Maternal Glory manufactured in a Soviet Mint. Order of Maternal Glory was established in Mongolia in 1957 by the Law on rewarding mothers with many children. The Order of Maternal Glory, 2nd degree, is awarded to mothers who have given birth and raised from 5 to 8 children.The order is shaped in a form of a metal gilded brass oval. In the center, there is a round blue enamel medallion with a bas-relief image of a Mongolian woman with a child in her arms. On top of the medallion, there is a red enamel ribbon with the inscription in Mongolian - Aldart eh, Maternal glory. On the sides, the medal is decorated with Mongolian ornaments. In the lower part, it is framed with green enameled laurel leaves. A polygonal white enameled cartouche with the number 2 placed in a low part of the order and indicates the degree of the order. There is a screw-nut at the order's back, and one of the orders has the number 81118 engraved on the back.
