[WESTERN AMERICANA]. Buffalo coat with gauntlets. Chest 22 in., shoulders 19 in., sleeve length 28 in., overall length 52 1/2 in. Full-length commercially made buffalo coat with shawl collar and wooden toggles. Des Moines, IA: Monarch Tanning & Mfg. Co., n.d. Interior label. Quilted liner. One interior pocket and two outside pockets. Collar, exterior pockets, and cuffs feature contrasting fur. (Fur retains most of finish though front edges adjacent to quilt lining show loss and wear, some wear to interior quilt fabric and stitching, one missing toggle). [With:] 2 pair of leather gauntlets, sizes 10 and 9 1/2 (light soil and wear on both pairs).
