[EARLY PHOTOGRAPHY - PORTRAITURE]. A large group of portraits of men, comprising:  Over 240 images, primarily cabinet cards.(1)- Large quarter-plate tintype (3.25 x 5 in.) on larger mount of three men in suits and holding bowlers.(2)-Cabinet card identified as "Uncle" Tom Pennington, brother of Fire Chief of Canon City. Photographer ID'd as Fricke & Co., Canon City.Cabinet card of Isaac Dalton, Photographer Geo. R. Elliott, Columbus, Ohio. Isaac Dalton (1801-1880), born in New Hampshire, moved to Columbus in 1831. He was a steward of the Ohio School for the Blind and on the special board of health during the cholera epidemic, 1849-1850.(3)-Large format of a man on a horse, dog under the tree. 6 x 8 in. on larger mount.  Two cabinet cards, one of a farm boy, horse team behind him (He is blocking whatever equipment they are pulling) and second of a gentleman standing at the edge of a bridge.(4)-Portrait, unidentified sitter. Photographer identified as G.J. Vreeland, Enid & Kingfisher, Okla. Just a bit smaller than cabinet card.Cabinet card of two men, photographer ID'd as W.A. Clauser, Jacksonville, Ill.Cabinet card of a young man, embossed photographer ID, Ko???Two other cabinet sized images of men.  Larger oval portrait, identified on verso as Early Settler, N. Dakata (?) 1890.(5)-Eight cabinet cards with portraits of single men. Five with photographer's ID: J.B. Huffman, Chillicothe, Mo.; Robinson, New York; G.H. Bonnell, Grayling, Mich.; Lon M. Porter, Canonsburg, PA; and McCabe, Easton, PA.(6)-Seven cabinet cards with photographer's identifications: Conkling, Atchison; Kopke, Brooklyn, NY; Gentil's, Chicago; Stevens, Chicago; Gilmore, Binghamton, NY; Peck, Taylorville, IL; Boyd, Seattle; and E.H. Cowin, Ottowa, KS.(Other) Locket with tintype (appears to be a child).  Oval tintype on cdv-sized card.Oval portrait on what appears to be a cdv, inside a wreath. Photographer Mrs. Ida M. DeWees, McArthur, O.Portrait mounted in the corner of a 3.25 in. square.Four photos on slightly larger than cabinet-sized mounts.Plus 205 other cabinet cards.
