Description
Marilyn Monroe's Personally Owned Black Lamb and Mink Poodle Jacket From the Collection of Kent Warner W/Notarized Letter of Provenance - This exquisite special occasion poodle jacket was owned by iconic American actress, Marilyn Monroe. The coat is crafted of black lamb with a black mink collar, and has an inner label beneath the satin lining (there is a hole cut in the lining) that reads, "H. Basch & Co., Inc./Lammoire/Hammer Brand/Pressed in U.S.A." The coat was given by Marilyn Monroe to Hollywood costumer Kent Warner, who worked for MGM Studios and is known for 'liberating' props such as the iconic ruby red slippers of "The Wizard of Oz" and Humphrey Bogart's trench coat from "Casablanca". The dress will be accompanied by a typeset letter of provenance signed by Warner dated 6/19/1979, which was also notarized on that date. Measurements: shoulder to hem length-24" (this is a loose fitting jacket that fastens with a single hook and eye button beneath the collar).
