Venetian-Style Mirrored and Parcel-Gilt Upholstered Headboard

20th century, the king-size headboard upholstered in diamond-tufted violet velvet.

In overall very good condition. The gilt and mirror plates exhibit some distress by design, but there is no breakage to the glass, nor apparent breaks to the giltwood trim. The piece appears sturdy, solid and stable. The lavender upholstery is in quite good condition. It is currently dusty, with some dirt down in the tufts. No tuft buttons missing. There is light wear to the upholstery, but no tears observed, nor notable soiling or stains. The tufts do read as slightly darker than the overall fabric. There may be some very minor fading to the color, but the bulk of that difference appears to be due to the nature of the velvet reflecting light at different angles. When a flashlight is shown into the tufts, that difference largely vanishes.
