Description
Interesting group of gloves, purses, moccasins and other beadwork. The moccasins were made and worn by Pend d'Oreille Indians of Montana made of tanned hide and red wool, 11" long, a pair of tanned hide and beaded gloves made also by the Pend d'Oreille Indians 7 1/2" long bead work is in good condition. Both the gloves and moccasins are used and worn. A beaded purse with silk lining measures 5" X 5". An unmarked chain mail purse 6" X 4 1/2". Beaver pelt stagecoach driver gloves, the palm of the gloves are very worn out but made of tanned hide. measuring 9" X 14", a pair of beaver fur gloves with leather palms, the leather is worn and torn in places 16" X 11".Keywords: Native American, Indigenous, western.
