Description

Otto Poertzel statuette of standing Frederick II "the Great" of Prussia and Henry Bonnard plaque of Abraham Lincoln in profile. Late 19th/Early 20th century. Frederick the Great signed with "Prof. Poertzel", and the Lincoln plaque with "Cast by the Henry Bonnard Bronze Co., New York 1890". The Frederick statuette is over 12" tall with base (just over 8" without the base) and about 3 inches wide at the base. the Lincoln plaque is about 6" by 4.5". Condition: both have dark brown to green patina, oxidation. Frederick the Great is missing a walking stick held in his right hand. A chip in the top of the marble base of Frederick the Great, and missing name plaque on reverse of base. Keywords: Prussian, French, Classic, Sculpture
