Ma'arachah Shelmah in the Holy Handwriting of the Author of 'Liflagot Reuven' – Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis ztz"l.
[2] p. [1-4 pages], dimensions: 24X22 cm. Ashkenazi script on paper.
Divrei Torah-Halachah, on Orach Chaim, matters of prayer, blessings and recitation of Shema.
Rabbi Zelig Reuven Bengis, born in 5624 [1864] in a town near Vilna, Lithuania, learned at the Volozhin Yeshiva, and studied with the geniuses of the generation, Rabbi Chaim Soloveitchik and the Netizv of Volozhin. He served in the Rabbinate in various cities, until the year 5698 [1938], when he made Aliyah to the Land of Israel and was the Ga'avad of the Eidah Ha-Charedit in Yerushalayim, and died there in the year 5713 [1953].
During the years of his lifetime, he completed several Shas several times. His famous students include: Rabbi Shlomo Zalman Auerbach ztz"l, Rabbi Shalom Yosef Elyashiv ztz"l and Rabbi Yisrael Grossman ztz"l.
On the bottom of page [4], he signed, signed: Zelig Reuven Bengis.
