England, late 19th century, enamel copper plate. Front of plate with text reading H. Cunynghame July 8, 1848 (date of birth) and Emily Harriette June 29, 1857 (date of birth) encircle profile of likely Emily Harriette along with date 1898. The underside reads: "June 21, 1893 Hurlingham Lodge Fulham married." and "May 1894 - 36 Eaton Place. Sep. 1896 Home Office." with the initials HC to the center.Sir Henry Hardinge Samuel Cunynghame: Born July 8, 1848, a member of the Institute of Electrical Engineers, Assistant Under-Secretary, Home Office, married Emily Harriette 1893. Went to Wellington College, received M.A. from St. John's College, Cambridge. Entered Woolwich R.M. Academy and received Pollock Medal and sword merit in 1866.
