Description

Rare sterling silver formal dinner knife owned and used by SS-Reichsfuhrer HEINRICH HIMMLER, recovered by an American GI from Himmler's villa in Schonau, near the Obersalzberg - once Sigmund Freud's vacation home. The 10 in. overall knife bears a '90' purity-stamped sterling silver handle period engraved with Himmler's distinctive 'h h' monogram, attached to a stainless steel blade. Lightly used, very good. Himmler's tableware is of an order of magnitude rarer than that of Hitler and Goring, who personally purchased and were gifted a multitude of pieces of silver. Himmler chose very modest designs, in keeping with his comparatively sedate and private lifestyle.
