Description
This very nice watercolor painting is from Japan born artist, Chuzo Tamotzu (also spelled Tamotsu). Tamotzu lived in New York and then settled in New Mexico which appears to be where this painting is centered. Appears to be set in the early 1950s and a plant vendor selling his wares from the trunk of his car. It is in very much the same style as his 1952 painting called "Sandias". It is signed in the lower right in western lettering, he was known to sign in both his native language and/or his adopted home language. Framed measures 19" x 20.5", image size 11" x 14".
