Description

France,Circa 1880
Ornately carved figural carousel chair in the form of a grinning jester wearing a ruff with hands on his hips forming the back splat supported by two anatomical legs and feet and two scrolled feet. Please Note: Disney has reproductions of these chairs around their park two as seen in last photo and the other two are used in their boardwalk scavenger hunt. This very rare nanny chair was used by the attending adult to watch the child on the carousel horse as they spun around together.
