Oscar Daniel Soellner
Illinois,1890-1952
Depicts rolling hills with bare trees and a distant red farm house from a body of water glistening with the first rays of morning light. Soellner was a primarily self taught artist but took classes at the Chicago Academy of Fine Art, starting as a sign painter and eventually diving into fine arts. His works are held in private collections, the public schools of Oak Park and River Forest, and the collection of the Oak Park, Austin, and River Forest Art League.
