Monochromatic portrait of a gaunt man with hooked nose, beard, and long hair. Szasz studied at the University of Fine Art in Budapest and illustrated many books by authors such as Chekhov, Gorky, Emily Bronte, Sandor Weores and Imre Madach. Szasz's works have been exhibited in the British Museum, Mexico City's Museum of Modern Art, Auschwitz Museum, the Hungarian National Gallery, and many others.
Etching on paper,Impression area 3 3/4" x 3 5/8".Frame 18" x 14"
Signed "Szasz" lower right in image, signed "Szasz" in pencil lower right under image, numbered "3/10" in pencil under image, paper watermarked "Szasz" lower right corner.
