Pair Japanese Meiji period (late 19th century) Palace sized vases. Crafted of fine quality porcelain with hand painted lacquer. Scalloped top with a black background with gilt trellis work. Features leaves, red cherries and scarlet red panels decorated with pavilions, trees, and Mount Fuji. No apparent marking.
