George III Old Sheffield Plate Footed Salver with applied Cast Silver Border circa 1810.. Engraved wtih Coat of Arms and Flat Chased Surface. Base is flat chased with scroll and flowers. Center is engraved with coat of arms. Excellent Conditon Heavy Weight. Measures approx. 10.75" in Diameter. Weighs approx. 23.2 OZT. Piece is accompanied with a card from Shrubsole.Provenance: Directly from consigner. Her husband was a doctor on The Main Line, Wayne, Pennsylvania. He predominantly collected Philadelphia silver, London silver and other objects of considerable interest including fine art, period furniture, Oriental rugs and fine reproductions in the manner of Williamsburg Virginia furnishings by kittinger and Baker.
