Description
Unmarked Nippon Tea Pot Circa 1891-1921. Hand-Painted Flowers with Gold and Enamel Embellishment. Handle, Upper Portion of Pot and Lid feature Deep Cobalt Blue with Intricate Gold-Colored Highlights. There appear to be slight imperfections near base of Spout, but Pot is otherwise free from Cracks, Crazing or Chips. Lid shows very slight minimal flaking on underside of Rim. Measures approx. 2.5" h with 5"w diameter Bowl Provenance: Directly from consigner. Her husband was a doctor on The Main Line, Wayne, Pennsylvania. He predominantly collected Philadelphia silver, London silver and other objects of considerable interest including fine art, period furniture, Oriental rugs and fine reproductions in the manner of Williamsburg Virginia furnishings by kittinger and Baker.
