Description
Avinoff, Andrey (Russian/American 1884 - 1948), Untitled (Interior drawings of Cooks Forest, Pennsylvania), circa 1930s, pair of charcoal drawings on paper, apparently unsigned, drawings measure 10 x 6.75 inches and 12 x 9 inches, both matted measuring 12 x 9 inches and 14 x 11 inches respectively, unframed. Provenance: The Estate of Andrey Avinoff; by direct descent the present owner, the artist's grand niece. Drawn during artist's tenure as Director of the Carnegie Museum of Natural History.
Condition
Images in generally good condition, smaller drawing has small L-shaped tear bottom left and one inch vertical crease lower right with some light brown discoloration along the top, larger drawing has visible horizontal crease and some discoloration along the top, both with light compression creasing in corners.
