Description
Passmore, after Deborah Griscom and after William Henry Prestele, Lot of 10 Botanical / Fruit prints, 1892, chromolithographs printed by A. Hoen for a US Agricultural Survey, full sheets 9 x 5.75 inches, three of the plates are after paintings by the famous botanical artist Deborah Passmore and the other seven are by the equally well known William Henry Prestele, fruits shown include Eldorado Blackberry, Japanese Persimmon and Bing Cherries. This lot also includes 5 chromolithos of spermophiles (rodents, gophers) after paintings by Ernest E. Thompson, and one brilliantly printed plate showing chemical breakdowns of various types of oils. Total of 16 prints.
Condition
Disbound with one rough edge, otherwise general good condition with mild toning to the paper, still bold and bright colors. Merchandise will be packed and transported by the purchaser at their own risk and expense.
