A Collection of Seven Majolica Tile Plaques

late 19th to early 20th century, glazed ceramic tiles in bas relief, the first depicting Sandro Botticelli's Birth of Venus, (frame dimensions 26 1/4 x 15 in.); the second a six tile composition of a Roman chariot scene (frame dimensions 16 x 22 in.); the third of a Classically dressed female reclined near a garden pool (frame dimensions 7 3/4 x 13 3/4 in.); the fourth of a elegantly dressed lady, titled to lower right "The Village / Belle," worn maker's mark and numbered to verso (frame dimensions 16 1/2 x 10 1/2 in.); the fifth of cupid (frame dimensions 10 1/2 x 8 1/2 in.); the sixth of Eve (10 1/4 x 4 1/2 in.); the last a three tile composition of a storm ravaged tree (8 1/4 x 20 1/4 in.); all appear unmarked save the elegantly dressed lady, presented in various contemporary frames.
