Description
(Walt Disney, 1964-65 New York World's Fair, c. 1964-65). An extremely rare and beautiful Walt Disney signed 1964-65 New York World's Fair postcard. Such an exquisite, non-personalized, Walt Disney signature is rare but even more rare to be found on a souvenir from the 1964-65 New York World's Fair. As the Fair was only opened for six months in 1964 and six months in 1965 during the time period of April 22 – October 18, 1964, and April 21 – October 17, 1965. But it's at this Fair where Walt Disney debuted his most advanced work in audio-animatronics with attractions of "it's a small world", "Carousel of Progress" and "Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln". Among some of the greatest technological and storytelling achievements Walt Disney accomplished before passing in 1966. The signed postcard is beautifully displayed in a frame along with another of the exact postcard turned around to face front, so that the front of the signed postcard can be visualized. Also displayed in the frame is an original ad piece from 1964, marketing for Walt Disney's attractions at the Fair with the slogan "Disneyland Fun at the Fair." The signed postcard is in good condition with normal wear from age and minimal handling. Item comes with a Grand Circle Tour Auctions COA.
