Description
(Disney, c. 1950). A rare Disney "Treasure Island" Gimbel Bros Key used in their promotional "treasure hunt" where customers could win valuable prizes and a store display sign for Walt Disney's 1950 first completely live-action adventure film, "Treasure Island." The key is marked with several graphics including characters from the film and notes the "treasure hunt" will occur on July 18th, 19th, and 20th of 1950. The key holder would simply compare their number on the key numbers above the treasure chests found in stores. The "Treasure Island" store display sign features imagery from the movie including the characters of Jim Hawkins and Long John Silver played by Bobby Driscoll and Robert Newton, respectively. The key and the sign are both in good condition with normal wear from age and handling, including wear from store use for the sign. Item comes with a Grand Circle Tour Auctions COA.
