Item Details

Description

A Chinese bronze incense burner in the shape of a beast dating from the 18th to 19th century. The beast stands on four tall feet, and its head acts as the lid of the incense burner.

Dimensions are: 7 3/4 inches tall X 4 1/4 inches wide, 19.7 cm X 10.8 cm. Weight: 1100 grams. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: The beast's tail is missing. There are repairs to the pins of the lid. General use wear.

Provenance: From an estate in Los Angeles, California.
