This lot consists of an unframed oil painting on canvas, done in the impressionist style of Camille Pissarro (Danish-French, 1830-1903). Image depicts a resplendent and cosmopolitan bridge scene with intermingling colors and denoted plays of light everywhere. Hand-painted inscription at lower left corner reads, "C. Pissarro. 1901". A stunning addition to any art collection. Unframed dimensions approximately 15" x 21.75".

Reverse side of canvas features a black ink stamp.

Camille Pissarro (Danish-French, 1830-1903) was a colossal contributor to the progression of both Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. Pissarro studied under Gustave Courbet himself, as well as other greats like Jean-Baptiste-Camille Corot. Pissarro fixed his gaze upon rural scenes, bustling Parisian streets, and everything else he could capture under thick passages of paint. "Work at the same time on the sky, water, branches, ground, keeping everything going on an equal basis," Pissarro once stated. "Don't be afraid of putting on color," he continued, "Paint generously and unhesitatingly, for it is best not to lose the first impression."
