This lot consists of an unframed ink illustration on paper. Done in the fantastical style of famed illustrator Theodor Seuss Geisel (American, 1904-1991). Image depicts an original Dr. Seuss character. A handwritten inscription at lower right corner reads, "Best from... Dr. Seuss". Overall unframed dimensions approximately 11.5" x 8.25".

Theodor Seuss Geisel (American, 1904-1991), commonly known as "Dr. Seuss", was an American children's author, political cartoonist, illustrator, poet, animator, screenwriter, and filmmaker. Seuss distinguished himself early on with his professional work in advertising art. With the onset of WWII, Seuss turned his creative powers toward political cartooning, and lastly came to design for books and film. Some of his most iconic characters include the Cat in the Hat, Sam I Am, Thing One and Thing Two, and many, many more.
