Early to mid 20th century AD. A beautiful circular carved agate cameo depicting a profile bust right of a young lady in classical style with elaborate, flowing hair and neckline of a robe; the cameo signed 'MV' to the shoulder with script 'Tuo' (Italian for 'yours' or 'thine') etched to the reverse; set in a beaded gold frame marked '750' (for 18 carat standard) and '* 298 NA'; with locking brooch pin and additional folding loop for use as a pendant to the reverse, also fitted with safety chain and pin; probably Italian workmanship. 7.81 grams, 38mm (1 1/2").
