Flanders, 16th century AD. A stained glass window insert with central rectangle and outer quadrants in a lead-alloy frame; painted image of a shepherdess standing on a grassy base holding a crook in her extended left hand, flagon hanging from her right hand, girdled robe and beaded necklace. 114 grams, 13.7cm (5 1/2"). Ex central London gallery; previously with Christie's 15 December 1998, lot 48. [No Reserve]
